Keum-boo Earrings by Andrew Thornton
These Keum-boo earrings were created by Andrew Thornton exclusively for Allegory Gallery. Keum-boo is an ancient Korean gilding technique for attaching gold to silver. Andrew has created these earrings using fine silver and 24K gold. He roll-printed and reticulated the silver then fused silver dust to the surface to add even more texture. After applying the 24K gold, he then patinated the silver to darken it to a beautiful gunmetal color and added gunmetal kidney bean ear wires for a modern feel.
These earrings are extremely lightweight and wearable. The main portion of the earrings are 3/4". With the ear wires, they measure approximately 2.5" long.
Please note: There are multiples of this item available. Photos are for illustration purposes. You may not receive the exact pair shown.
