From Andrew: These pendants are very much inspired by textiles since I’m using vintage Japanese kimono fabric stencils. I really love textiles and it makes sense. I was surrounded by them. My mom and grandma were avid quilters. When I was little, my mom had a scrap bin and on rainy days I was allowed to dig through it and lay out combinations. We didn’t have a lot of money, so nothing went to waste. In hindsight I see how these early childhood experiences shaped me as an artist.
