This series began after some harder times for us in 2023 and 2024. Andrew's father was diagnosed with and passed away from cancer. Some of our friendships and close relations were tested and fell away. William suffered health issues with his heart. Our fur son Barnaby got very sick and nearly passed away. And, Wiliam's other job (our safety net that paid most of our personal bills) burned to the ground on Christmas Day.
In February, the Chinese zodiac turns to the year of the Dragon, and this year, it's all about the Wood Dragon. For those who don't know, being born under the sign of the Wood Dragon imbues a person with lots of energy, drive, and creativity. People born under this sign are never short of innovative ideas and the power to implement them. Unless you were born in 1964, however (the last year of the Wood Dragon), you may be asking what that means for the rest of us. Well, the Year of the Wood Dragon is supposed to bring about progress, growth, and abundance for all of us.
We firmly believe that this is the year to start a new chapter for Allegory Gallery. We are re-birthing our store in its new city of Johnstown, PA, and we're super excited about what possibilities will come of this. We're also planning to further push the boundaries of what we're doing in the online space, and put a lot more energy and creativity into this area.
Andrew has created these new pieces of artwork as an homage to the Year of the Dragon, and we're offering the to you through our online store. These original collages are the perfect reminders for everyone that we should go forth in this new year with a renewed sense of creativity with the energy to see that our paths lead to great abundance!
Please note: All screens are different. We do our best to ensure colors look accurate on our side, but the original piece may differ from what you see on screen.
