Allegory Gallery Inspired by Reading Book Club is Back…

Hello friends and #AGBeadFam! 

We wanted to let you know that after a hiatus, our Inspired by Reading Book Club is back for March! We're starting slowly with one book for March to gauge interest in revitalizing our book club. If this is something you're interested in, we hope you'll join us in our Facebook Group (linked below), and also for our discussion and make-along at the end of the month (details below). 

If you haven't been following us for awhile, we started Inspired by Reading Book Club in 2012. Being lovers of both books and creating things, we thought the two would mesh really well together. Our book club is devoted to those interested in using literature as a source of inspiration. Each month is assigned a new book. After the participants have read the book, they are encouraged to make something that was inspired by what they read and share it!

We used to share a 13-month long list of books for the upcoming year and into the new year. We're starting more slowly right now with one book for March: The Stone Witch of Florence by Anna Rasche. If you'd like to join us, read the book this month, and then choose something of interest or inspiration from the book and create a project. What you create is up to you. Many of our #AGBeadFam create jewelry, but some of the items we've had in the past are: clothing, a beer brewed, shadowboxes, paintings, sculptures, and more. 

We'll have a meeting at the end of the month on Zoom to hang out and discuss the book as well as show the projects we made—or start/continue working on the projects we wish to make! It's all very low-key, and it's really about the joy of reading and the fun of creating!
